Privacy policy
Horizon 360 is built so your financial life never reaches our servers in the first place. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Last updated: June 12, 2026
The short version
- Your financial plan (balances, income, projections) is stored only in your browser, on your device. We never receive it.
- We collect only the minimum needed to run this website and to email you a sign-in code.
- We don't sell your personal information.
- You can back up, export and delete your plan yourself, at any time.
Your financial plan data
Everything you enter into the Horizon 360 app — household details, account balances, business figures, net worth and projections — is stored locally in your browser's storage, on your own device. It is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers, and we have no access to it.
Because it lives on your device, clearing your browser data or switching devices can remove it. Use the app's export feature to keep a backup.
Information we collect
Email address. When you sign up or log in, you provide an email address so we can send a one-time sign-in code. We use it to authenticate you and to send essential service messages.
Technical and log data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and reliable.
Preferences. We store your language choice (English or French) in your browser so the site stays consistent across pages.
How we use information
- To send sign-in codes and authenticate your account.
- To respond to your questions and provide support.
- To operate, secure, maintain and improve the website.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage to remember your language preference. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share the limited information above only with service providers who help us operate the site (for example, email delivery and hosting), under agreements that require them to protect it, and where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Data retention
We keep the limited account and log information we collect only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Your plan data is retained by you, on your device, for as long as you keep it there.
Your privacy rights
Subject to Canadian privacy law (including PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25 where applicable), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. For your plan data, you are already in direct control: you can export or delete it yourself from within the app.
To make a request, contact us at privacy@horizon360.ca.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but keeping your financial data on your own device — rather than on our servers — removes an entire category of risk.
Children's privacy
Horizon 360 is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take additional steps where required by law.
