Terms of use
These terms govern your use of the Horizon 360 website and app. Please read them carefully.
Last updated: June 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the Horizon 360 website or app (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What Horizon 360 is
Horizon 360 is a household retirement and tax-planning simulator for Canadians. The app runs in your browser and stores your plan on your own device. This website explains the product and lets you create an account or sign in, after which you are handed off to the app.
3. Not financial, tax or legal advice
Horizon 360 provides planning tools and projections for information purposes only and does not constitute financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Projections are estimates based on the assumptions you enter and may differ materially from actual results. You are responsible for your decisions and should consult a qualified professional before acting on them.
4. Accounts and sign-in
Sign-in is passwordless: we email a one-time code to the address you provide, and verification is completed in the app. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure and for activity that occurs under your account.
5. Your data and backups
Your plan data is stored locally on your device, not on our servers. This means we cannot access or recover it for you. Clearing your browser data, uninstalling, or switching devices may permanently delete it. You are responsible for exporting and backing up your own data.
6. Acceptable use
- PERSONAL USE ONLY. The Service is licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not use it to provide advice or services to others, or for any commercial purpose.
- Don't use the Service unlawfully or in a way that harms others.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, attack, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- Don't scrape, copy or resell the Service or its content except as permitted by law.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text and branding, is owned by Horizon 360 or its licensors and is protected by applicable laws. These terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or branding.
8. Third-party links and services
The Service may link to third-party websites or rely on third-party providers. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that projections will be accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Horizon 360 and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or savings, arising from your use of the Service.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
